Some Friday Random Thoughts...

• Why doesn't my husband understand that in order to clean and organize it is necessary to make a huge mess out of the whole house first? I realize that I've been "cleaning and organizing" all week and haven't really made any headway, but seriously... I do have a plan! (Unfortunately I think it involves a pricey trip to the Container Store first.)

• I am supposed to be going to the pool today with a friend but I'm sort of glad that it's cloudy at the moment. I have too much to do to spend half a day at the pool.

• As of Wednesday I am over the halfway mark in my pregnancy! It feels like quite a milestone but also scares me. The first half has flown by! I have a ton to do the the next 20 weeks! (Also-- I still haven't taken a 20 week belly pic. It's on my list for today!)

• I bought a Snoogle (see below) and used it for the first time last night. At this point in my pregnancy I'm supposed to be sleeping on my side but I found that I have a hard time staying in that position. For the last couple weeks I've been using multiple pillows to prop myself up, but they would wind up either on the floor or at the foot of the bed by the time morning rolled around. So.. the Snoogle it is! (Specially made maternity body pillow) I've only used it once, but I slept great last night and woke up on my side, so I guess it's working!

• I FINALLY have a head count for the shower I am throwing tomorrow. 20 people will be attending. I'm buying some food and making some myself. On the "to do" list for today is a vegetable pasta salad, cupcakes and floral arrangements and then tomorrow morning I'm making fruit skewers. Everything else I'm picking up. Did I mention that I'm hosting this shower at my Mom's house? That means I get off the hook for cleaning the house. Woo hoo! (See bullet point number one.)

• My grandparents in-law celebrated their 60th anniversary last night. We celebrated at Truffles in Ladue which I've been wanting to try for quite some time. Unfortunately my food was pretty bleh and the service took forever. I don't feel the need to go back anytime soon.

• Agenda for the weekend.... Baseball game, bridal shower, date night with T, then having a family birthday party for my sister and I on Sunday. (My sister's bday was Tuesday and mine bday is on Labor Day, so we knock out the family party together)
