Lighting Dilemma

Ok....so look over my post below about the nursery plan. I think my favorite element in the room is that capiz chandelier that I picked out. I was seconds away from ordering the thing this morning when read the reviews on Target.com more closely. The lamp itself got very good reviews but I found two reviews that went on and on about how the light looks so much better in person because the shells are more of a pure white color.

Before ordering it I decided to search around for more photos on the internet.  I found these....

I still love the light, but does it really go with my ivory/cream "theme" any more? The silver toned framing around each of the petals is way more pronounced than I thought when the lamp is not lit. I was planning on doing a copper/iron tone for the curtain rod but would obviously switch to a silver one it I went ahead with this lamp. What do you think? Should I keep looking?

The light is not cheap... it's like $400. I wouldn't normally spend that much on a nursery lamp, but I liked it so much and I thought it would look cute in either the nursery or powder room of a future house. (We'd take it with us.)

And here I was about to call an electrician for installation. I guess it's a good thing I researched some more though!

I think it will still work. It's not completely white, and I like the look of variated shades in a room. It's a gorgeous fixture!
