Nap Time

My baby takes three to four pretty decent naps during the day. (Morning, early afternoon and evening.) He must be pretty tuckered out from doing all that growing. It takes major work to be in the 97th percentile! :) I have always been a multi-tasker, but after becoming a mom it has gone to new heights. Here is how I spend my "free time."

Nap #1: Return emails, do other internet junk like house hunting. Get dressed in workout clothes. (Hair and make up optional.) Transfer baby to stroller while sleeping. Go on 3-4 mile walk.

Nap #2: Make dinner, (put in fridge) do laundry, return phone calls, run a quick errand or two with baby in tow.

Now, by now you are probably thinking that I'm all high and mighty for bragging about how much I get done, etc. Don't worry. By the time nap #3 comes around I'm just about wiped out from the days activities. So what do I do?...

Nap #3: Eat junk and watch bad reality TV on DVR. This week it is raw cookie dough and Real Housewives of NYC. If I'm feeling especially industrious I try to do my nails and finish my book club book for the month. Either way. Nap#3 is definitely my "me time."

Now what do I do when he stops needed so many naps?! The reality TV will not be sacrificed.

Some Pictures

Finally! A post with pictures! (And little else...)

Our little family on Easter Sunday... Love that Daddy decided to match Baby.

Had to include this one of him in his little denim jacket. 95% of the time he wears onesies or pajamas. The one piece things are just so much more comfortable and easy for him to maneuver around in. I actually got him "dressed up" on this day though. I am having a hard time finding cute boy clothes, but I have decided that my favorites include bright colored pants and/or stripes. I think I need to make a post about baby boy fashion soon because it seriously leaves something to be desired.

And how about this cutie in his little hat!? We went to the zoo and had a picnic in Forest Park with my Mom and sisters one of those gorgeous Spring days last week. And in case you were wondering, the baby slept through the entire zoo trip. :)

Our Big Boy

I have been a bad blogger lately, but it just seems like we have a ton going on right now. There is actually some big news on the horizon in regards to our home search, but I don't want to write about it too soon and jinx it, so you'll have to be patient. :)

Just thought I would check in today and let you know about our little man's growth. I don't think I can go on referring to him as our "little man" anymore though. "Big boy" is more like it. He weighed in at 15 lbs, 1 ounce and is 25.5 inches long. This puts him on the 90th percentile for weight and the 97th percentile for height. My pediatrician wanted to know what I've been feeding this guy! Developmentally he seems to be right on track in terms of his skills, etc, which is all any mother can hope for. We are so blessed to have a healthy little (big) boy.

I seriously cry when I think about how fast time is going and how quickly he changes. Of course I want him to grow and learn new things, but that doesn't stop me from getting all weepy about it. His dad likes to tease me and constantly talks about how big he's getting just to see me suffer. What a jerk. :)

Easter photos coming shortly!!
