Closet Space (Or Lack There Of)

As I have said in previous posts, our home has two bedrooms. The closet in our master is a walk-in, but it's on the small side for a walk-in. I use it exclusively and it houses about half of my wardrobe. Every change of season (Fall and Winter to Spring and Summer) I empty out the closet and switch the clothes with the set I have hanging in the basement closet. (Which is also full.)

The closet in the spare bedroom is actually quite large. It spans the whole wall and has two doors. Although it is bigger, I relegated T to that closet simply because I like having my closet in the master.  The spare bedroom closet is also stuffed to the brim with T's clothes and office paraphernalia. 

I'm not trying to brag about the size of our clothing collection or anything. I'm actually pretty good about weeding things out and donating them each season. I'm posting about this because I'm starting to at least think about having to make some space for the huge amount of baby stuff that is going to be coming our way. I'm actually scared about it. T is going to have to clear out of at least half of his closet which means that I'm going to have to share. 

I'm going to at least start this project today. First off is going to be my semi-annual clothing donating process. I'm sure I'll find a few pieces in there that I'll never wear again. (Or fear that I'll never fit in again.) Although I still fit in all my tops I think I'm going to move some of my more formal dresses down to the basement. We have Fall weddings to attend, but not until October/November, so I'm assuming that I'll have to get something a little more suitable for a pregnant person. 

Here are some of my favs that are getting the basement treatment...

I loved my rehearsal dinner dress. I was actually able to wear this to a couple weddings too, so I think I got a good amount of wear out of it...

I had better fit in this teal one post-pregnancy. I splurged on it and have only worn it once so far.

And this Christmas party skirt... It was quite fitted around the waist. Might take me a while to get back into this one. And don't you hate it when you wear a black top and the "shine" from your bra shows through in pictures? Drives me crazy!!

This is going to be an on-going process and I'l be sure to post some pics of my organization process. You guys had better hold me accountable for that. :)
