At the moment I am having no problems fitting into my tops, jeans or other lower slung pants. My more tailored capris and dress pants aren't wanting to button anymore, but they are holding in there quite nicely using the Bella Band. I know it is only a matter of time, though, before I need at least a couple staples.
One item that I had planned on splurging on was a nice pair of jeans. I will be needing them all winter so I didn't really mind spending the money to get a decent pair. Plus, over all I really won't need too much in the way of clothes. It's not like I have to dress up for work every day or anything.
I had looked at a few brands of designer jeans in the mall maternity stores but wasn't that thrilled. Luckily 9 Months in Style carried Paige denim and I found a pair that I love. And the best part?....My birthday is at the beginning of September, so my Mom bought them for me as a gift. Woo hoo! I liked these in particular because they have only a short stretchy waist band rather than those ones that can pull all the way up over your belly. I just thought that would bother me. I don't know if these are the exact ones, but they are close... Sorry for the tiny pics...

I also bought one pair of cute black cargo style capris and one long sleeved top that were on sale. The store was tiny and the stuff in there is pretty pricey. For the more staple items like t-shirts and tank tops I'll probably just go to the mall stores or Old Navy or something.
One item that I found online that I absolutely LOVE is this coat from Isabella Oliver. It's $198. Is it worth it knowing that I'll probably have to wear it every day in the fall/winter? From the description and reviews I can tell that it's made of wool but not very thick so it can go for both seasons. What do you think? Is it stupid to spend that much on a maternity coat even if you plan on wearing it every day?

Love the jeans! I think maternity clothes are so cute. :) I don't think it's too much for a coat. It's adorable, but classic enough that you could wear it again if you have more children. But then again, I definitely fall into the category of shoppers that would rather spend more money on an item that will last!
I've been lusting over that same coat! But I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a coat that will only benefit me for one winter season. :(
I love the coat! At first I thought, I must have something that will work. But, yeah right!! What normal coat is going to button over a baby bump. So...now that you mention it, maybe I should be looking into this as well...
And, I love the jeans! I am willing to splurge on one nice pair as well and Paige are my FAVORITE non-maternity jean. I'm planning on waiting until I get a bit bigger and fall gets a bit closer to make the plunge, though.
Oh man...everyone loves the coat! You guys are not good for my shopping habits.
And Jennelle--way to justify it with the whole "you'll have more children thing!"
Kristal-- I know...that is a bit much. I might wait and see if Gap or Old Navy or something comes out with something cute.
Lisa--I know. For a little bit there I thought that I wouldn't need any maternity clothes at all...then I started looking at more and more women that are pregnant. Umm...obviously some wardrobe changes will need to be made. :)
