What I meant was that the bedroom happens to be the room in the house (appearance wise) that I like the best. It is pretty large given the overall size of the house. It also has a large wall with tons of windows---a real rarity in a house built in the early 1980's. Most of the neighbors have shutters or something the little top windows. Not us, we are those really annoying morning people. We like being awakened by the intense sunshine of a southern exposure bedroom. The 13' vaulted ceiling isn't a bad feature either. (Except when it is time to paint, of course.) Speaking of paint, we painted the room Sherwin Williams "Lemongrass Green." I think it's an unusual pick and very spa-like. I'll have to find some old pictures of this--before we painted it the room was cranberry red. It looked pretty neat with all the white trim, but the red was just too intense for a bedroom. (IMO)
My other favorite feature from the bedroom is the furniture. The two dressers and armoire are over 100 years old and belonged to my great-grandmother, Anna. (My name sake) They sat gathering dust in my grandma's basement for years until I pulled them out. A little Murphy's oil soap and Voila! I think they look great. The set used to have a sleigh bed to match, but that was lost over the years. I wrought iron substitute just had to do!
